PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a degree of freedom of selecting the size and a shape of a sheath body, and improve a degree of freedom of design of a building in which supports are arranged by covering a periphery of a fiber reinforced plastic bar-shaped or tubular strength holding member with the sheath body. SOLUTION: A fiber reinforced plastic bar-shaped or tubular strength holding member 2 is provided, and its periphery is covered with a sheath body 3, and a structure member 1 for a building is constituted. One kind or two or more kinds selected from carbon fiber, glass fiber and Aramid fiber are desirably used as fiber mixed in this fiber reinforced plastic. Then, since necessary strength can be secured even if the strength holding member 2 is thinned, a degree of freedom of the size and a shape of the sheath body 3 is increased. Therefore, a degree of freedom of design of a building in which supports are arranged such as a pedestrian bridge can be increased. |
