PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the external appearance of an air bag from being impaired by providing many recess sections at the prescribed layout on the whole surface of a cover main body, and forming tear lines facilitating the rupture of the cover main body in coincidence with the layout of the recess sections at the prescribed position on the back side of the cover main body. SOLUTION: When a vehicle collides, a bag body 7 is quickly inflated by the gas pressure generated by an inflator 8, and a cover main body 1 is ruptured from the tear lines 5. Since the cover main body 1 is easily ruptured from the tear lines 5, the inflation of the bag body 7 is not hindered by the cover main body 1. The tear lines 5 are formed on the back side of the cover main body 1 in coincidence with the layout of the recess sections 4 formed on the surface of the cover main body 1, they are not formed on the surface side of the cover main body 1, and the external appearance of an air bag cover is not impaired. |
