摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of evaluating nitrification blocking performance against activated sludge capable of easily measuring with a high accuracy nitrification blocking performance of various kinds of waste water against the sludge. SOLUTION: A primary measurement measures a nitrification rate (B) when an approximate equilibrium state is obtained by adding a reference substance to activated sludge and a secondary measurement measures a nitrification rate (A) after the nitrification rate reaches an approximate equilibrium state by adding measurement water to the activated sludge wherein the approximate equilibrium of the nitrification rate is reached in the primary measurement, and a tertiary measurement measures a nitrification rate (C) when the nitrification rate reaches an approximate equilibrium when a nitrification controlling agent is added to the activated sludge wherein equilibrium of the nitrification rate is reached in the secondary measurement, and nitrification blocking performance of the measurement water against the activated sludge is evaluated by comparing the nitrification rates obtained by the primary, secondary and tertiary measurements. For example, a nitrification blocking ratio is obtained by the formula, [B-(A-C)]/B×100%.</p>
