FIELD: forestry. SUBSTANCE: machine has rotary boom mounted on self-propelled chassis and provided with gripping and cutting device, and inclined platform. Rotary boom has rear and front telescopic links interconnected through pivot joint. Telescopic links are provided with rotation mechanism positioned adjacent to link joint and adapted for rotating front link with gripping and cutting device relative to rear link through angle of at least 270 deg. Rotation mechanism is formed as rack-and-gear drive with gear secured to pivot joint pin. Toothed rack is mounted in guide on rear link for moving within it by means of two hydraulic cylinders. Front link is rigidly connected with pivot joint pin. Telescopic links are provided with self-adjusting supporting drive positioned adjacent to joint and made in the form of metal wheels with spherical rims. Wheel pins are fixed in lower part of toothed rack. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 3 cl, 3 dwgv
