<p>An insertion device for a catamenial tampon which expands to a non-circular shape has means for indicating to the user the angular position of the tampon during insertion. The tampon is inserted by means of a rod, which is subsequently withdrawn, the rod being flattened, fluted or otherwise shaped so as to be non-rotatable relative to the tampon and, at its out end, it has a flattened area, protuberance or coloured marking to indicate the correct position.</p> |
