摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a dialectic ceramic composition for high frequency use, having a lower relative dielectric constant than alumina or forsterite and a high Q value than glass ceramics, and also obtain the dielectric resonator made thereof. SOLUTION: This composition is a composite oxide composed of B and Si as the metallic elements, satisfying the relationships 0.1<=(x)<=20, 80<=(y)<=99.9 and (x+y)=100, when the wt. ratio composition of the oxides of the metallic elements is shown by the formula xB2 O3 .ySiO2 , and having a relative dielectric constant of 4 or lower and Q value of 2000 or higher at 10 GHz. The composition can be used for a ceramic substrate 3 or support member 2 for a dielectric resonator 1.
