<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently utilize the dry-distilled gas of waste tire chips as a fuel for combustion devices by dry-distilling the waste tire chips by the use of simple installations. SOLUTION: A plurality of batch type dry distillation ovens are alternately or successively operated to dry-distill waste tire chips. Therein, the dry distillation ovens are operated in such a partially mutually overlapped state that the unstable generation of a gas in the early operation period of the next distillation oven is finished at an unstable gas generation-initiating time in the final operation period of the first operated dry distillation oven. The stable gas thus continuously generated is used as a main fuel for one or more other combustion devices. The unstable gases generated in the early and final operation periods are effectively utilized as auxiliary fuels for the combustion devices. The combustion periods of the dry distillation ovens are sufficiently elongated to burn up the waste tire chips, thus reducing the residue ash.</p> |
