POLYETHYLENE-FLEXIBLE TRANSPARENT RESIN SHEET AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyethylene flexible transparent resin sheet safe for an environment and also excellent in optical and mechanical characteristics, and a manufacturing method of this sheet. SOLUTION: This sheet comprises a layer constituted of polyethylene resin and the following characteristics (a-c). (a) An elastic modulus in tension is 20-100 MPa. (b) The number of foreign matters having refractive indexes different from that of a non-crystalline resin phase occupying most of volume fractions of the sheet is 500 pcs./mm<2> or less in an arbitrary section and the average length of these foreign matters is 10μm or less. (c) The surface roughness Ra of the surface on one side at least is 0.2μm or less. This resin sheet 11 is manufactured by using manufacturing equipment having a first cooling roll 14 provided with an elastic material 18, a second cooling roll 14 and an endless belt 15 made of metal.
