PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a one-pot type and aqueous emulsion type adhesive composition excellent in preservation stability and water-tight adhesion by polymerizing an acrylic monomer or copolymerizing the acrylic monomer with other monomers by using acetoacetylated polyvinyl alcohol as a protective colloid. SOLUTION: An emulsion is obtained by polymerizing an acrylic monomer (e.g. acrylic acid), or copolymerizing the acrylic monomer with other monomers (e.g. styrene) by using acetoacetylated polyvinyl alcohol as a protective colloid. The objective composition excellent in preservation stability and water-tight adhesion is obtained by regulating the content of the acetoacetylated polyvinyl alcohol to be 5-20 wt.% without using a stabilizer such as acidic sulfite. |
