PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject compound highly stereoselectively, by using a tris(trialkylsilyl)silane deuteride, useful for analyzing an optically active organic compound having a complicated stereostructure and for analyzing metabolism of medicine in vivo. SOLUTION: A compound containing an eliminable group comprising a halogeno group, a phenoxythiocarbonyloxy group, a phenylseleno group, a phenylthio group, etc., to be substituted with a hydrogen atom around a chiral center is reacted with a tris(trialkylsilyl)silane deuteride of the formula (R<1> to R<3> are each a lower alkyl; D is a deuterium atom) in the presence of a free radical generating agent and the eliminable group is substituted with deuterium to highly stereoselectively give the objective optically active compound useful for analyzing an optically active organic compound having a complicated stereostructure and for analyzing a metabolic compound in vivo of an optically active medicine compound. |
