PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an accessory good in corrosion resistance or the like and causing no inflammation such as skin irritations by forming a base plating layer not contg. Ni but contg. Cu, Sn or the like on the surface of an alloy stock and forming a plating layer of Pd, Cu, Cu-Zn, Co or the like on the surface of the layer. SOLUTION: On the surface of an alloy stock, one or more base plating layers composed of Cu, Sn, Cu-Sn, Pd, Sn-Zn, Ag, Ag-Sn, Co and Cu-Sn-Zn are formed to have a thickness of about 1 to 50μm. On the surface of this base plating layer, for improving the adhesion of finish plating, an intermediate plating layer of Pd, Cu, Cu-Zn, Co or the like is applied to a thickness of about 0.01 to 10μm. On this intermediate layer, as finish plating, a Cr plating layer is formed. In this way, an accessory in which the Cr plating is adhered with good luster and causing no rashes, skin irritations or the like even as for a person having an allergic reaction to Ni can be obtd.
