PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the output of an inflator feeding the inflation gas even when an occupant interferes with the lower side of an air bag during inflation by providing a squeezed gas flow port restricting the flow of the inflation gas between the lower side and upper side in case of inflation. SOLUTION: When the breast of an occupant interferes with the lower chamber 21 of an air bag 20 during inflation before its completion and inflation gas tends to escape into an upper chamber 22, the flow of the inflation gas is regulated by a gas flow port 23 provided between the lower chamber 21 and upper chamber 22, and the reduction of the internal pressure in the lower chamber 21 of the air bag 20 is suppressed. Even if the lower side (lower chamber 21 side) at the time of inflation is used as the upstream side of the flow of the inflation gas and is folded and stored on the lower side (lower chamber 21 side) at the time of inflation, there is no trouble, and the output of an inflator 11 feeding the inflation gas can be reduced. |
