PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter for lessening prostatic disorder constituted in such a manner that a patient is allowed to utilize the sphincter muscles of the urethra in order to control the discharge of the urine from the bladder and that the urethra in a prostatic may be maintained in a patent state. SOLUTION: The catheter 10 to be inserted into the patient's urethra has a slender, flexible tubular plastic body 12 which has an approximately cylindrical wall. The body 12 has a first zone to be indwelt in the bladder, followed by a second zone present through the prostate, then a third zone present through the sphincter muscles of the urethra of the patient and in succession a fourth zone extending toward the urethral openings. Plural holes 28 which are the first internal cavities to be passed with the urine, are extended with second internal cavities for accepting stylets 16 therein and communicates the same with the first internal cavities in order to permit the outflow and inflow of the urine exist in these first, second and fourth zones. The third zone is capable of controlling the urine stream from the second zone to the fourth zone cooperatively with the sphincter muscles of the urethra. |
