PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic resin composition containing a liquid additive and giving a molding having excellent appearance and mechanical properties by adding the liquid additive to a thermoplastic resin in a special manner. SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by dissolving a thermoplastic resin having a number-average particle diameter of 0.01-1,000μm in a liquid additive having a viscosity of 100,000 cSt or below at 25 deg.C at a temperature of 25-250 deg.C. It is particularly desirable that the thermoplastic resin is a polyphenylene ether and/or that the liquid additive is an aromatic phosphoric acid ester. The composition may further contain a silicon-containing compound.
