PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the purifying efficiency of an air purifier, by equipping a cooling means on a purifying panel to hold a photocatalytic substance, irradiating ultraviolet ray, and flowing air to be purified in contact with the panel surface. SOLUTION: A purifying panel 10 is formed onto a base plate 11 on which a photocatalytic substance 12 is retained. A facing panel 15 comprising a filter member is equipped so as to face against one face of the panel 10. The space between both panels 10, 15 is formed into a air passage T to pass air W to be purified. A coolant pipe 20 to flow a coolant R is placed on the other face of the base plate 11. Plural ultraviolet lamps 30 are provided on a face facing against the purifying panel 10 of the facing panel 15 and ultraviolet ray L is irradiated to the photocatalytic substance 12. In that constitution, liquid nitrogen is flowed as a coolant R through the coolant pipe 20, the ultraviolet ray L is irradiated to the photocatalytic substance 12, and air W is flowed through the air passage T to purify air. Thereby decomposition and deterioration of organic substances are securely performed to improve purifying efficiency. |
