PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice-washing device in which polished rice can be effectively washed in a short time and all kinds of polished rice can be washed under most favorable conditions without damage to the properties of the polished rice. SOLUTION: A feed pipe 5 for polished rice and washing water is connected to a cylindrical lower side fixed casing 4 installed in a case 3 disposed on a base 2, and a cylindrical rotation casing 6 is provided between the casing 4 and a cylindrical upper side fixed casing 7 provided just above the casing 4. One screw 15 is rotatably disposed through the casings 4, 6, 7 in such a manner that the outer periphery of the screw 15 is in nearly contact with the inner peripheries of these casings. The screw 15 is driven by a drive means so as to convey upward the polished rice fed into the casing 4, while the casing 6 is rotated in a direction opposite to the rotation direction of the screw 15 by a drive means. |
