FIELD: hydrometallurgy. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to dissolve arsenopyrite and pyrite when processing gold-arsenic sulfide concentrates in an aerated nitric acid medium at elevated temperature. Leaching of arsenic from concentrates is accomplished by adding 0.75-1.0 M nitric acid to concentrate and carrying out process in presence of 0.025-0.05 g-ion/l nitrite ions at oxygen pressure 0.8- 1.2 gauge atm. EFFECT: enhanced process efficiency and reduced nitric acid consumption. |
