FIELD: optical instruments for information storage. SUBSTANCE: laser light with low coherence and high intensity is modulated according to double refraction in electric field and is directed to soundtrack of cinema film. Light modulator is located in definition range of laser beam which has focal point between modulator and lens which generates image. Time for storage of voice data is decreased due to use of laser light. Speckle noise is suppressed and image generation characteristic is improved due to control of focal point of laser beam. Since laser beam has low coherence, need in polarizing plate is eliminated. This results in possibility to decrease number of elements. EFFECT: increased speed and decreased cost of recording. 9 cl, 11 dwg
