PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict oozing of ink and improve sheet transfer efficiency, by adding to an ink-receiving layer a binder and porous polysaccharide fine particles in an ink-jet recording sheet having the ink-receiving layer provided at least at one face of a sheet-like base. SOLUTION: A binder (binder polymer 22) and porous polysaccharide fine particles 21 are added to an ink-receiving layer 2 layered at least at one face of a sheet-like base of an ink-jet recording sheet. The binder is any kind so long as it can stick the porous polysaccharide fine particles 21 to the receiving layer 2, and various polymers are used. The porous polysaccharide fine particles 21 are hydrophilic in a fine porous structure of 0.1-20 μm average particle size. Some of the porous polysaccharide fine particles 21 included in the ink-receiving layer 2 are exposed at a front face of the receiving layer 2, so that the front face of the receiving layer 2 is made rough. |
