PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous member for carrying a large amount of an adsorption material per unit area, removing sufficiently high concentration gas, and also remove low concentration gas, consuming a small heat amount at the time of heating a catalyst, also consuming a small amount of energy, exhausting no adsorption gas and realizing the low cost by the continuous manufacture. SOLUTION: In a continuous member for collecting and decomposing a gaseous chemical substance, a granular gas adsorption substance 2 or a gas adsorption/ decomposition substance is filled in a continuous porous tube 1 constituted of heat- resistant fibers, and a heater wire 3 carrying a gas decomposition catalyst is disposed around the porous tube 1. The manufacturing method for a continuous material consists of a first process in which the braided porous tube 1 is taken off integrally in the downward direction and simultaneously a granular gas adsorption substance 2 on a gas adsorption/decomposition substance is fed continuously from a braiding opening into the taken-off direction and filled continuously in the continuous porous tube 1 and a second process in which the heater wire 3 carrying the gas decomposition catalyst around the tube filled with the substance is wound laterally or braided. |
