PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration, which causes because of a failure in returning of a main switch or in removing of a memory carrier from a vehicle interior, in safety against vehicle theft when operation of a main switch is allowed or effectuated in compliance with receipt of an ID code from a portable type storage carrier. SOLUTION: If a driver carrying an ID tag 1 gets off from a vehicle while the operation of an ignition switch 15 is allowed, a controller 3 outputs an alarm only when a predetermined cutoff condition for an ignition circuit is satisfied, and then, the ignition circuit is cut off via an engine control ECU 20 after a lapse of a predetermined delay time. In this process, the ignition switch 15 is moved to the 'OFF' position via a switching actuator 18 when the ignition switch 15 is in the position other than the OFF position. |
