PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antiseptic-antifungal agent capable of preventing the generation of microorganisms deteriorating industrial raw materials, products, etc., and polluting fungi in environments at a small dose by using a specific compound together with chlorhexidine digluconate. SOLUTION: This fungicide is obtained by compounding 0.1-90 wt.% of a mixture or (A) 2-(4-thiazolyl)-benzimidazole (salt) of formula I with (B) chlorhexidine digluconate of formula II in an amount of 0.01-100 pts.wt. per pt.wt. of the component A, if necessary, with (C) one or more auxiliaries such as a hydrating agent, an emulsifier, a solvent and a flowable agent (sol agent) and subsequently formulating the composition. The salt of the component A is preferably a dodecylbenzene sulfonate salt. The fungicide is, if necessary, diluted with water or an organic solvent and subsequently added to various kinds of industrial raw materials, intermediates during production processes or products. When the fungicide is used, the concentrations of the components A and B are preferably 10-20,000 ppm, respectively. |
