PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain excellent light fastness and shelf stability by adding at least one kind of compound expressed by a specific formula to an optical recording medium wherein a recording layer is set on a substrate directly or via an underlying layer, and a reflecting layer, a protecting layer or an adhesive layer and a second substrate if necessary are further provided on the recording layer. SOLUTION: A recording layer is set on a substrate directly or via an underlying layer, and a reflecting layer, a protecting layer or an adhesive layer and a second substrate if necessary are provided further on the recording layer in an optical recording medium. At least one kind of compound expressed by a formula is added to the medium. In the formula, R is a substituted alkyl group or an alkyl group not substituted yet, R' is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a substituted or not substituted alkyl group or a nitro group. X is a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group/alkoxy group, a nitro groups, a cyano group or a dialkyl amino group, (n) is an integer 0, 1 or 2, M is a hydrogen atom when the (n) is 0 and a transition metal when the (n) is 1 or 2. |
