Particulate or powdered material such as sand, road salt, lime, or granular or pelletised fertiliser is spread and sifted using a spreader unit mounted on a vehicle. The vehicle is equipped with hydraulic or mechanical lifting machinery that has fittings for mounting the unit on the vehicle. The spreader consists of a chassis, screen and oscillator. Vibrations generated by the oscillator empty the contents of the spreader, with the screen allowing only particles of a pre-selected size to pass through. |
