The machine for the production of a box (62) from two half blanks (2,2') in sheet material of which one is the, upper (2) and the other (2') is the lower. These blanks are folded about a fixed mandrel (1) whose external section equals that of the inside of the box. The blanks are first slid above and below the mandrel and the flaps are folded by tools associated with the machine and glued at the joints to form the box. The bottom flaps of the box are then folded against the base of the mandrel and the completed box is then ejected off the mandrel.
