The trailer has arms (101,102) with lifting jacks (301,302) which can be stowed, held closed by the springs (315,316). To load the skip onto the trailer, the jacks are extended, causing the arms (306,307) to rise and engage the bosses, pulling the skip forward so that the ramps (211,212) ride up on the rollers until the hooks (213,214) engage the rollers and the hooked ends of the arms (306,307) are securely lodged on the bosses (215,216), with the rollers on the lower ends of the arms riding up the stops (125,126) on the arms (101,102). Further extension of the jacks causes the front end of the skip to rise, pivoting on the hooks and the rollers (107,108) and tipping the skip to discharge its load. The operations are controlled by the lever (118), and when the skip is to be dropped from the chassis, the jacks are shortened, the skip slides rearwards on the rollers, and the arms return to the stowed position, releasing the the bosses (215,216).
