The present invention concerns a method for implementing telephone voting in a telephone network. The telephone network advantageously has an intelligent network in which the method is implemented. According to the invention, the reliability of the telephone voting is improved by allocating by lottery to each person entitled to vote their own personal code based on the sparse matrix technique. This reduces considerably the likelihood of an unauthorized caller guessing the correct personal code.
