The brake fluid reservoir(14) encompasses the operating cylinder(8), and between the opening of the reservoir accomodating the cylinder and the circumference of the cylinder there is an annular chamber(22) sealed on both sides by O-rings(23,24) and into opens out a breather hole(12) and connecting slot(13) to the supply chamber of the reservoir. The opening in the reservoir and the external circumference of the cylinder are at least partially round, both being stepped so that the transition from the larger diameter(20) to the smaller(21) forms the annular chamber(22).
