A hot-air burner for an enclosed space, especially radiation heating pipe, has a combustion chamber forming a primary zone, and feeders for the fuel and pre-heated combustion air in the form of a pre-mixer. The pre-mixer has a mixer pipe (4) in an air-duct (2) and gas nozzle (5) in front of the mixer pipe's inlet. The air duct forms the inner wall of a recuperator (8) which has an inner air duct (7) and outer exhaust gas duct (10). The air duct (2) has air inlets (3). A heat-transmitting wall (11) between the air duct and the exhaust gas duct has air through-ducts (12).
