<p>Hyaluronate synthesis inhibitors containing an efficacious amount of at least one compound selected from carbostyryl derivatives represented by general formula (I) and salts thereof and pharmaceutically acceptable carriers. In Formula (I), R represents benzoyl optionally having on the phenyl ring 1 to 3 linear or branched C1-6 alkoxy groups; and the carbon-carbon bond between the 3- and 4-positions of the carbostyryl skeleton is a single or double bond. These preparations are useful in treating various fibroid diseases and pathosis caused by the excessive production of hyaluronic acid.</p> |
