Reception arrangement for card-shaped data carrier

The arrangement includes a first reception and a second reception in a casing for the, at least partial, insertion of a first (3) and/or a second card-shaped data carrier. The first data carrier is slighter less wide in its main surface area vertical to the insertion direction, than the second data carrier. The measurements of the receptions correspond essentially to the part of the data carriers to be respectively inserted. The first reception is fully open at the main side to the second reception, so that both receptions form a common, undivided cavity within the casing. They form a common aperture for the insertion of both data carriers. When both data carriers are inserted, they are in contact with each other through one of their main surface areas.
