Electronic countermeasure device in target tracking radar systems susceptible to orthogonal polarisation noise
摘要
The device has an antenna whose directional axis is rotated along a conical sphere at a defined frequency and whose signal is fed to a circuit which performs spectral analysis of the received voltage. The spectral component of the fundamental frequency of the antenna rotation and a selected multiple of the fundamental frequency are investigated wrt. amplitude in a comparator. The comparator generates a so-called orthogonal polarization noise alarm signal if the amplitude of the voltage with the multiple of the fundamental frequency significantly exceeds that of the voltage with the fundamental frequency.
