<p>In deinking printed waste paper by beating in aqueous medium in the presence of deinking agent and purification by washing of flotation, the deinking agent (I) comprises hydrogenated 24-50C dimeric acids with an iodine number /} 20 and/or their alkali(ne earth) metal and/or ammonium salts and/or alkoxylation products. Also claimed is the use of these acids and derivatives as (I) for deinking printed waste paper. Preferably (I) consists of 30-40C acids and/or alkoxylation products, especially a 36C acid with an iodine number /} 7.5. The waste paper is beaten in the presence of aqueous sodium hydroxide solution, water glass, hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and optionally a ligand. Alternatively, beating and flotation are carried out at pH 6.5-8.8 in the absence of these additives and surfactants.</p> |
