The chamber has walls extending between posts, in which a granulate filling is accommodated and where two opposite walls are formed as shot catchment walls. The base (3) of the catchment chamber is supported by a rotary rim (2) arranged on a pallet. At least three and preferably all the walls (11) are formed as shot catchment walls and the thickness of granulate behind each wall (11) is at least 40 cm. The frame posts (9) are provided with vertical double grooves for insertion of two catchment walls one behind the other. A securing device for the chamber is provided on the pallet (1) in predetermined positions, in which a catchment wall is facing a target. A suspension device is provided for an angle (15) supporting a ricochet protecting curtain (14). The total width of the catchment chamber is less than 88 cm.
