The installation has a two burner-system in a common housing, which is geared to higher energy requirements for hot water preparation, and offers optimal operating method for central heating. The installation incorporates a fuel feed, a burner, a heat exchanger, together with a housing enclosing the entire assembly and having a combustion gas outlet. A further second burner (2) is provided inside the common housing (14). The two burners (1, 2) are each adjustable to a different nominal heat power optimised in its degree of effect. The average load corresponds on the one hand to the hot water preparation and on the other hand to the central heating power. The two burners act on a single heat exchanger, which feeds separate circuits for hot water and central heating energy. The burners in a plane coaxially encompass one another. Each of the burners has a separate heat exchanger, whereby the burner (2) with the higher nominal heat power works in conjunction with the heat exchanger (4) for a hot water preparation in the throughflow principle or for accumulator loading.
