The tool for drawing sheet metal blanks incorporates top and bottom tool halves (11, 12), a drawing punch (14) and a blank holder (16). Parts of the blank holder are supported on pressure cylinders (20) which are spaced around the drawing punch and have working pistons (24) actuatable by means of a fluid under pressure.
