The device has a speech input unit and speech output unit, an object marker (1) applied to the object with a definite code but no speech input or output facility, a decoder unit which reads the marker code and generates a definitely related control signal. A circuit connects definite address regions of a memory in a speech memory unit with the speech input and/or output unit to record or reproduce information related to the object in digitised speech signal form.
