Phaco-emulsification method for intra=ocular tissue removal
摘要
The phaco-emulsification method uses a pulsed laser beam (2) for removal of tissue from the eye lens (1), with extraction of the removed tissue via suction. The energy of the laser can be varied during the tissue removal process by altering the pulse repetition frequency or the intensity of the laser pulses. An interruption of at least one pulse length may be provided after a given number of laser pulses with the same pulse frequency. This enables variation of the laser energy, with the reflected laser light from the light output surface of the optical conductor feeding the light to the treatment point used for regulation of the laser energy.
