LIQUID-CRYSTAL RESIN COMPOSITION AND MOLDINGS

A liquid-crystal resin composition comprising 100 parts by weight of a partially aromatic liquid-crystal polyester and/or a partially aromatic liquid-crystal polyester amide, 0.001 to 5 parts by weight of at least one compound selected from among phosphorous acid, hypophosphorous acid and metal salts of these acids and 0.01 to 10 parts by weight of red phosphorus. This composition is useful as a material for engineering plastics because of its low anisotropy, and excellent flame retardancy, thermal resistance and hydrolytic resistance.
