PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital tuner and a channel switching method therefor with which the user of digital broadcasting can speedily select the desired channel. SOLUTION: This tuner is provided with two decoders 21a and 21b for respectively decoding received video/audio signals. Between these decoders 21a and 21b, any one decoder decodes the video/audio signal of the channel designated by the operator, and the other decoder decodes the video/audio signal of the channel forward adjacent to the designated channel parallelly with this decoding. The latter decoded result is stored in an RAM 24, read out and displayed when switching the channel forward. |
