PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a treating agent, excellent in drawability and heat resistance and suitable for a direct spinning and drawing step by compounding a specific carboxylic acid ester with a specified mercaptobenzimidazole-based compound, a specific phenolic antioxidant and a surfactant as essential components. SOLUTION: This treating agent is obtained by mixing 30-70 wt.% carboxylic acid ester having 500-1,000 molecular weight such as isostearyl oleate, 0.1-3.0 wt.% compound represented by the formula (R is H or a 1-9C alkyl), e.g. 2- mercaptobenzimidazole, 0.1-3.0 wt.% phenolic antioxidant having 330-1,000 molecular weight such as 4,4'-thiobis(3-methyl-6-t-butylphenol) and 25-70 wt.% surfactant such as an ethylene oxide adduct to oleyl alcohol as essential components and used for application to fibers in a spinning step. |
