PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent ink from scattering into a recording apparatus, by constructing a blade-cleaning apparatus having a blade for wiping an ink discharge port face and a blade cleaner for wiping ink adhering to the blade in a one-way mechanism. SOLUTION: When a driving gear 22 rotates, a gear member 30 for forward operation is freed from meshing to a gear member 28 of a blade arm 20, and a gear member 29 for return operation of the driving gear 22 is meshed with the gear member 28 of the blade arm 20 thereby transmitting a driving force. As a result, the blade arm 20 starts to rotate in an opposite direction of an arrow D, moving a blade in an E direction. When the blade slips under a blade cleaner 17, the blade cleaner 17, while rotating in an arrow direction C, escapes and avoids an overlapping part thereof with the blade. The blade pushes aside and passes the blade cleaner 17. Accordingly, scattering of the ink is greatly reduced. |
