PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of recording inferiority of contraction or the like of a recording pitch by a conveying load due to a difference of conveying amounts of sheet material between at least two rollers. SOLUTION: A device has a feed roller feeding a recording medium, feeding roller conveying this fed recording medium, and a PF motor driving the feed roller and the feeding roller. Between a feed roller shaft 24 integrally rotated with the feed roller and a feed gear 27 transmitting power from the PF motor, a gap (angleβ) in a rotational direction, serving as a region without transmitting power to the feed roller shaft 24 from the feed gear 27, is provided, the angleβis provided corresponding to a period from a conveying start to a recording action end of the recording medium at least by the feeding roller.
