PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chipping-resistant coating composition capable of forming chipping-resistant primer layers good in coating appearance and chipping resistance, and excellent in water-resistant secondary adhesivity. SOLUTION: This chipping resistant coating composition contains 80-10 pts.wt. of a polyolefin-modified resin having a hydroxyl group value of 10-200 and a number-average mol.wt. of 10,000-100,000, 20-90 pts.wt. of a curing agent, an epoxy resin in an amount of 1-35 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the total amount of the polyolefin-modified resin and the curing agent, and a pigment in an amount of 1-50 wt.% based on PWC, wherein PWC is a concentration expressed by the formula: [pigment(g)÷(pigment(g) + resin solid content(g)×100]%.
