PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save the time required for checking other reception conditions and to shorten reception channel selection time by selecting the next channel without checking the other reception conditions for the channel in the case that the reception electric field strength of the selected channel is less than a threshold value set beforehand to a radio terminal equipment. SOLUTION: A CPU 5 selected a first channel number and outputs a channel setting command S5 for setting the channel to the frequency of the selected channel to a frequency specifying part 6 first. Then, the CPU 5 detects reception electric field strength signals S4 received through an antenna 1, a radio part 2 and an A/D converter 4 and judges whether or not the reception electric field strength of the selected channel is larger than the threshold value of the CPU 5 set beforehand. In the case that the reception electric field strength of the selected channel is less than the threshold value set to this radio terminal equipment, the next channel is selected without checking the synchronous state of the channel. |
