PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide good visibility from various directions. SOLUTION: Orientation films 32, 35 formed on transparent substrates 33, 36 are orientedly divided so that regions 32a, 35a and regions 32b, 35b, which are the two divided regions of a region corresponding to a pixel electrode 31, may cause respective liquid crystal molecules to form bent orientation within a plane including X-Z axes and a plane including Y-Z axes respectively. In other words, regions 32a, 35a are orientedly processed to provide the liquid crystal molecules around the surface of the orientation films 32, 35 with approximately 5% pre-tilt angle symmetrically to X axis, while regions 32b, 35b are orientedly processed in the similar manner to provide the liquid crystal molecules around the surface of the orientation films 32, 35 with approximately 5% pre-tilt angle symmetrically to Y axis. |
