PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning system for the a processor which can surely perform a cleaning process. SOLUTION: The cleaning system consists of the card processor 100 equipped with heads (magnetic head 108 and print head 110) for reading and writing information out of and to an in-use card carried in card conveyance paths 1 and 2 and a cleaning card which cleans the heads when carried in the card conveyance path 1023. When the card is inserted, a card decision means 122 decides that the inserted card is the cleaning card if the magnetic head 108 is unable to read magnetic data out of the card conveyed in the card conveyance path 102, and a cleaning process transition means 124 places in the system in cleaning mode automatically, so that the heads are cleaned by the inserted card. |
