PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grasp the deterioration rate of the shear pin of a coupling. SOLUTION: Magnetism producing bodies 5 and 8 are arranged to a driving coupling 4 and a driven coupling 7 respectively, and both the timing that the magnetism producing body 5 or 8 arranged to the coupling 4 or 7 on one side passes through each of first and second definite points that have been determined so as to be apart from each other by a given distance in the turning direction of the coupling 2 and also so as to be near to the outer circumferential surface of the coupling 2, and the timing that the magnetism producing body 8 or 5 arranged to the coupling 7 or 4 on the other side passes through the first or second definite point is detected. Thus, the passing required time (Ta) that the magnetism producing body 5 or 8 arranged to the coupling 4 or 7 on one side passes through the distance between the first and second definite points, and the passing time differences (T) that both the magnetism producing bodies 5 and 8 pass through the first or second definite point are grasped; and when the ratio of T and Ta, or the value (T/Ta) exceeds a given value, it is judged that the shear pin has been deteriorated. |
