<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize and lighten a manual paper feeding section, by connecting a paper-size determining means to a paper-size display means which faces a paper-feed tray. SOLUTION: When a paper sheet is fed by hand, a paper feeding tray 11 is opened and a recording paper sheet is put on the top surface 12 of the paper- feed tray 11. A side of the recording paper on the paper feeding opening side is aligned with a paper feeding roller in the device, and side guides 13a, 13b are aligned with a side of the recording paper parallel to the paper feeding direction. By manually rotating a rotor 24, what is visible from a notch section 23 of display 27 is corresponded to the set paper sheet size. A rotational position sensor sends a signal corresponding to the display to a control section. Therefore, the control section recognizes size of the recording paper, and prints out the contents within the proper range, as required, by scaling the contents down.</p> |
