摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure, and to reduce the weight of a device, and to simplify the control by providing a clutch between an engine shaft and a counter shaft, and switching the clutch on and off so as to switch the operation mode. SOLUTION: Power generated by a motor generator 2 is transmitted to a counter shaft 8a through helical gears 5, 5', and an engine shaft 1a is connected to the counter shaft 8a through helical gears 10, 10', and a clutch 12 is provided at an intermediate part between them. While a vehicle is stopped, an engine 1 is stopped, and the clutch 12 is released. At the time of starting, the motor generator 2 is operated, and the clutch 12 is released. When car speed achieves the predetermined speed, the clutch 12 is closed so as to start the engine 1. Furthermore, when the engine 1 is operated enough for traveling, the motor generator 2 is operated free or operated as a generator. Cost and weight are thereby reduced, and control is simplified.</p>
